Ayame and her family
The Family of Ayame is a group of ninjas that travel the world disguised as a traveling troupe in search for the Sutoun to their lord.
Anime[]
In the anime series, both Ayame's grandmother and her younger sister are replaced by her grandfather and her cross-dressing homosexual older brother, Kikunojo (voiced by Damon D' Olivera in English dub) and Ayame's cat(s) were absent. Their mission specifically is to steal Edward Falcon's Power Stone, a task they never manage to accomplish. The family ends up assisting Falcon and the other heroes at various points, including Gunrock briefly falling in love with Kikunojo (unaware he is not actually a woman). Ayame departs from the family to assist Falcon after rescuing their lord, but rejoins them after Valgas' defeat.

- In the anime adaptation; Kikunojo is based on Azumi character, Kiku. But unlike Kiku, who is transgender friend of Azumi, Kikunojo is Ayame's crossdressing older brother.
- Like Ayame, Kikunojo is in love with Edward Falcon.
